
Christine A. DeWitt, MD is an established board-certified dermatologist who specializes in general medical and cosmetic dermatology. It is her mission to provide the highest level of medical care to her patients. Using the most recent advances, she provides care for medical dermatologic conditions including acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer. She offers a full range of the most up to date and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures including Botox, dermal fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra), laser treatments for redness and dark spots, and laser resurfacing for fine lines, dark spots and acne scarring. It is her goal to use cosmetic procedures to achieve a natural and refreshed appearance. She also focuses on preventing pre-mature aging and sun damage. Dr. DeWitt works with her patients to decide the appropriate treatment to meet their unique goals.
Dr. DeWitt completed her undergraduate education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating Magna Cum Laude with degree in Biochemistry. After being selected as a Conley Scholar, she received her medical degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, School of Medicine graduating with multiple honors including membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and being in the top 95% of all medical students on her licensing examinations. She completed residency with an emphasis on surgical and complex medical dermatology at Southern Illinois University where she was the Chief Resident of Dermatology. After residency, Dr. DeWitt spent three years in a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda.
In addition to maintaining her private practice, she is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology with Georgetown University, Associate Program director of the residency, and Clerkship Director of medical students studying dermatology. She has spoken at the local, regional and national level and has been an invited lecturer to several academic institutions. Her publications have been published in top dermatology journals and she continues to work toward advancing the field of dermatology.
Dr. DeWitt is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She maintains membership in several societies including Society for Investigative Dermatology, Association of Professors in Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, Washington DC Dermatologic Society, and the National Psoriasis Foundation. She maintains hospital privileges at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center.
