Meet Dr. Yanes

Dr. Daniel Yanes is a Harvard-trained medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatologist practicing in Washington, DC. He is dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care to patients of all ages and is a believer in providing personalized care and treatment plans based on each patient’s unique concerns and needs.

Education

Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Yanes graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University and went on to The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class, summa cum laude.

He completed his residency in the prestigious Harvard Combined Dermatology Program, training with world‐renowned leaders in dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital. While at Harvard, Dr. Yanes received extensive training in laser surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and medical dermatology, training where many of the devices used today were invented, including the Fraxel® laser, laser hair removal, CoolSculpting®, and more. After completing his training, Dr. Yanes remained on staff at Harvard Medical School before moving to Washington DC and joining MI Skin Dermatology Center.

He has authored numerous peer‐reviewed scientific publications in the field of cosmetic dermatology, medical dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Yanes regularly lectures nationally and internationally.
