Can BOTOX® Lift the Eyebrows? Here’s How a Nonsurgical Eyebrow Lift Works

Yes, BOTOX can lift the eyebrows. A small number of precisely placed injections relaxes the muscles that pull the brow downward, allowing the muscles responsible for lifting to work more freely and producing a subtle but visible elevation of the brow.

Results are subtle by design: the kind of enhancement people notice without knowing why.

How Does a BOTOX Brow Lift Work?

Targeted injections of BOTOX into the muscles around the brow and orbital area temporarily reduce the downward pull of the depressor muscles. With that force reduced, the frontalis—the muscle responsible for lifting the forehead—creates an upward effect. The result is a more open, refreshed appearance with no incisions and no recovery time.

Precision is what separates a good outcome from a great one. The injection pattern, depth, and unit placement all determine whether the lift looks natural and flattering—which is why the injector you choose matters just as much as the treatment itself.

What Can a BOTOX Brow Lift Actually Do?

The results are real, though refined. A well-executed BOTOX brow lift can achieve:

  • A lift of 1 to 3 millimeters in brow position: a small measurement with a noticeable visual impact
  • Greater definition and arch in the brow shape
  • Reduction in mild upper eyelid hooding
  • A more open, alert appearance to the eye area

These results work best for patients with mild to moderate brow drooping. For more significant laxity, a surgical consultation may be worth considering. However, many patients are surprised by how much a well-placed BOTOX treatment can accomplish.

How Many Units Are Needed?

A nonsurgical brow lift typically requires 4 to 8 units of BOTOX, depending on your anatomy and the degree of lift you’re after. Many patients combine the brow lift with treatment of forehead lines or the “11s,” which adds to the overall unit count. During your consultation, I’ll assess your facial anatomy and give you a clear, personalized estimate.

Results are typically visible within a few days and last 3 to 4 months.
